15”x19”x1.5” Server Farm is a series of metal sculptures made by casting dominoes found in the ruins of Miami’s Li’l Abner Mobile Home Park. Through the sand molding and casting process the original dominoes are slowly damaged, broken and ultimately consumed. The original is destroyed in the name of modernization to create its aestheticized caricature, void of the original’s humanity and dynamism. This process mirrors the logic of the profit driven real estate development in Miami, which led to Li’l Abner’s mass eviction. In late 2025 a developer purchased the land for redevelopment, leading to the displacement of hundreds of residents despite protests and legal battles.
Its title considers the shared function of server farms and the game of dominos. Both are sites for network processing, storing, and distributing information.
