In Randomized structure, Iribarren Vázquez built a structure with the intention of being as objectively randomized in her selection and arrangement of objects. The objects were found in the building where the performance was both filmed and livestream projected to an audience in a room upstairs. The piece responds to a conversation with an artificial intelligence doctoral student about the difficulty of creating algorithms that are better than random at teaching a robot arm to build structures out of wooden blocks.
